Accessing the service¶
On successful enrolment, the Compliance Officer will be provided with a Compliance Officer username and password that will enable access to the MemberCheck service.
The Compliance Officer will in turn create user logins for other user accounts such as Advanced Users, Standard Users, Billing Officers, Data Entry Operators and Auditor.
Getting access to MemberCheck
If your organisation is part of a larger organisation that already has access to MemberCheck, you should apply to the Compliance Officer of your parent organisation to be set up as a MemberCheck user.
Login¶
- Open a web browser and enter the URL https://membercheck.com.
- Click on
Sign In
button to display the Login panel. - Enter your Username
- Enter your Password
Click the
Login
button.If you are accessing the service for the first time, or if there are changes to the terms and conditions of the service, you may be presented with important information and additional information for review and acceptance.
Limited attempts for incorrect passwords
If you enter an incorrect password you will receive a warning message to tell you how many more attempts you can make to login before the system will be locked for a specified period of time. You should use the Forgotten Password link to reset your password.
If you are unable to reset your password, please contact your Compliance Officer or support@membercheck.com for assistance.
Click
Accept
to continue.If you are accessing the service for the first time, you will be prompted to set up your security Question and Answer.
Select your preferred security Question from the drop down list and enter an answer that is known only to you.
Additional Security Information
Setting up this additional security information will enable you to request for Forgotten Password in the future.

to complete the profile set up.If the profile set up is completed, a confirmation message will be displayed.
Depending on your role, you will be directed to different default screens:

Resetting and Changing Passwords
person The Compliance Officer is able to reset passwords and re-enable accounts on behalf of any user within their organisation, who may not be able to use the Forgotten Password link, or have not set up a security question, or cannot remember the answer to the security question, or the account set up link having expired before completion.
You should change your password, if security has been compromised (such as if you have disclosed your password to another party or if you suspect another party has logged in using your username and password).
To change your password, click on your username on the right of the banner and click the Edit User
button.
Passwords have an expiry period in the system, and you will be prompted to change your password closer to the expiry period via a message at the top right corner next to the Help link.
Multi Factor Authentication¶
- If multi factor authentication has been enabled for your account, you will be prompted to enter a Verification Code during login.
Please check your email registered on MemberCheck for the unique time based code or enter the verification code in your authentication app such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator.
If you do not receive the email or unsure of which email account is registered, please consult with your Compliance Officer.
Change Password¶
Depending on the security policy of your organisation, you may want to change the password provided to you from your Compliance Officer or from MemberCheck.
- Login to MemberCheck
- Click on your username in the top right banner
- Click
Edit User
button to enter edit mode - Enter your Current Password and the New Password.
You can click on the "peek" icon to confirm you have typed your password correctly
Password requirements
Passwords should be:
- At least 13 characters
- Contain an uppercase letter
- Contain a lowercase letter
- Contain a number
- Contain a symbol
- Different to the previous 4 passwords.
Click
Accept
when done.
Forgotten Username¶
If you are unable to remember your Username, you can request a username reminder to be sent to the email address that is recorded in your MemberCheck User Profile.

You must enter your email address that is registered with MemberCheck in order to receive the email with instructions.

You are presented with a visual challenge, which is designed to help prevent automated programs from abusing this service.
Enter the characters displayed in the

box and click theVerify

If you are not sure what the characters are, you can click the reload button to display another challenge.
If you enter the characters incorrectly, an error message is displayed and a new image is provided. Enter the new characters in the
Type the text
box and click theVerify

button.A message informing you that Your Username has been sent to your registered MemberCheck email address will be displayed.
Click the
OK
button to close the message.You will receive an email reminder of your Username.
Forgotten Password¶
If you have forgotten your Password, providing you know your username and have set up your security Question and Answer, you can reset your password.
If you are unable to remember your Username, you can request a username reminder to be sent to the email address that is recorded in your MemberCheck User Profile.

You are presented with a visual challenge, which is designed to help prevent automated programs from abusing this service.
Challenges are designed to vary, two typical examples are:
- You are presented with an image displaying a number of characters and you are requested to enter the characters in the Type the text box and click the Verify button.
- You are presented with a number of images of items (such as items of food) and you are requested to select all of the images containing items of a particular type (such as bread) and click the Verify button NOTEIf you are not sure what the characters/items are, you can click the reload button to display another challenge.
If you respond to the challenge incorrectly, an error message is displayed and a new challenge is provided.

Enter the
Answer
to your Question and click theSubmit
button.A message informing you that instructions for resetting your password have been sent to your registered MemberCheck email address will be displayed.
Click the

button to close the message.You will receive an email containing a link for resetting your Password.
Logout¶
If the MemberCheck site remains idle for a specified period of time your session will expire and you will be automatically logged out.
When you have finished using MemberCheck or you are leaving your computer unattended, it is important that you log out to prevent others from accessing MemberCheck using your access privileges.
To log out:
Click the
Logout
link on the right of the page banner.The Home page and the Login panel are re-displayed.
You may now close your browser window.
